INSTALLING DB2 DATABASE MANAGER

Working on the following steps:

1. Data collection step: Enable the collection of request and activity metrics

within the DB2 database manager by setting the mon_req_metrics and

mon_act_metrics database configuration parameters to BASE or higher.

2. Implementation step: If you are using the IBM Optim Performance Manager

(Optim PM) 4.1.1 or earlier, turn off the Optim PM collection of workload

management statistics. As a result, the Optim PM will not contain these

statistics within its repository for this period and the statistics will not be

available for display.

Installing Oracle 11g on Linux currently using Oracle VM Virtual Manager

3-24-14 - Testing out legacy applications on new operating systems with VMshare

and Oracle VM while setting up a Red Hat Linux (64-bit) virtual machine using VMware

ESX Server, and then continue with details on installing DB2 Enterprise 9 64-bit in that image.

  3-17-14 -  Installed Xen now running three virtual machines. Each virtual machine is running a guest

 operating system and applications independent of other virtual machines while

 sharing the same physical resources. ll links to database in place and installed on three work stations in my lab. Installed
